MIMO

Description

MIMO is the abbreviation of Maltosyl-Isomalto-Oligosaccharide, a kind of IMO sourced from sucrose. It has 3-10 degrees of polymerization (DP) comprised of α-1,6 linkage terminated via an α-1,4 linkage to the reducing end. MIMO is not degraded in gastrointestinal tract, but fermented by probiotics with multiplying Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus typically and inhibiting Escherichia coli, Clostridium etc., so it is quality prebiotics to human health. MIMO is also a soluble dietary fiber with low-sweet and low-calorie, therefore it can be orally administered and in the applications of protein bar, beer, soft drink, sports drink, dairy, meat products, condiments, bakery, microencapsulated probiotics and other snacks & beverages.
